With the re-emergence of Covid-19, we have reviewed how we keep both our staff and our customers in Cornwall during the pandemic. The virus isn’t showing any signs of going away, it is something we are going to have to learn to live with and work around for the forseeable future. This overview outlines what preparations we have undertaken towards our work activities.
At Best Glaze we are a family run business and we believe that family comes first, both ours and yours. We will follow the strictest of guidence to make sure everybody is safe during any work we carry out, and maintain a Covid free environment. The control measures that Best Glaze LTD have put in place during the Covid-19 pandemic are based on Government, HSE, ACAS and PHE guidelines, these will be closely monitored and updated to stay upto date with the latest advice.
A full and comprehensive Risk Assessment has been carried out by our IOSH ( Institute of Occupational Safety & Health) trained team throughout all our working disciplines including our installation, newbuild, field, and mobile teams along with office and any other areas we work. A full and in-depth document has been created which covers all aspects of potential risk and exposure, prevention and safe practices.
The Risk Assessment highlights all risks and how those risks can be reduced or mitigated entirely, the assessement shows staff, customers and members of the public the possible risk and how the risk can be reduced keeping risk to an acceptable level. A copy of the risk assessment will be available our work areas and each team member is required to sign and date they understood the RA.
The changes we have made to our working practices to follow Covid-19 guidelines:
- Mandatory wearing of personal protection, masks and gloves
- All staff are required to maintain a safe working distance
- All work areas are to be sanitised
- Alcohol gel is provided to all staff
- Temperature checks for all staff
- Informing customers of our guidelines.
- Informing staff of our guidelines.
By adhering to the government’s social distancing guidelines along with all of the protective measures that we have set in place, we have reduced the risk of exposure to Covid-19 to our staff, customers & suppliers acting on our behalf. The policies have been implemented in order to keep our staff and customers safe during the pandemic. We have taken every step outlined by the government to limit the risk of exposure and reduce the risk of infection of Covid-19 in our working environment and our customers homes.
