process of buying a conservatory

1. Choose Your Conservatory Design

Take a look through our website to learn more about the options available for your conservatory project. Remember – we are here to help if you need anything explaining or if you’d like us to explore other design options. Working together we can create your dream conservatory. Contact one of our friendly team to arrange a free, no-obligation consultation. We do not employ any sales people or bogus sales techniques, we simply offer good old fashioned honest advice.
We will create a CAD drawing and images of the proposed build, once you are happy and decide to go ahead we require a 20% deposit to secure your installation. We will usually arrange a full survey to take place two weeks later, during this two weeks is your time to make any fine adjustments.

2. Survey

Once you have chosen the exact specification for your conservatory, our surveyor will carry out an in depth survey to check on things such as floor level, drainage, site ground conditions and other important factors. They will also take detailed measurements to enable us to create plans for your chosen conservatory design. At the point of survey a stage payment of 30% is required, at this stage all products and materials will be ordered, after this point no alterations can be made to the design.

3. Manufacture

Using your chosen specification and the detailed information gathered at the survey, the manufacture of the roof, windows and doors can take place. Best Glaze Windows Doors Conservatories LTD only use the most technically advanced products and their accreditations for your total peace of mind. Once we have a set date for manufacture we will provide you with installation date options that are suitable for you.

4. Foundations

The first stage of your new conservatory build is to dig out and lay the foundations if you have opted for a traditional wet build, or to install concrete pads if you have chosen a Durabase installation. For traditional wet builds we will dig out the trenches, pour them with concrete, a damp proof course will be laid, and finally topped with the concrete base. If your conservatory design features walls, these will also be built at this stage.

Next the windows and doors will be installed followed by the roof – the key structure in your conservatory. During the installation our team will keep you informed of the progress as well as cleaning down at the end of each day. Your garden will be left in a clean, tidy and safe state each day.

6. Handover

Once your conservatory is complete there will be a full handover to explain about maintenance, guarantees and ensure you know how to safely operate all windows, doors, roof vents etc. Only once you’re happy will we sign off your conservatory as complete.
